As the one of the founders of Forward Sound Movement, Kookaburra has been active in the industry for many years. Since 1998 he has been all over the world from Berlin to Boston and naturally his hometown of Groningen.
Here in the city, it was no big surprise to find him the position of head soundtechnician at the well known club called the Oude RKZ. OesziE Performed a weekly radioshow at the same club. This was were they met and were they started their collaboration. Kookaburra is mostly known for his involvement in the reggae scene, but he started to pick up and expand his interest for IDM when his collaboration with OesziE continued.

Together with OesziE, he started Studio Rave in 2020.
They started forming a concept and they worked it out and started assembling a system. As soon as it was acceptable they started hosting parties with the RAVE SYSTEM.
